OUR STORY

Eastern Empire is one of Australia's most dynamic live bands, bringing together a diverse collective of South Asian vocalists and musicians.

Since 2011, the ensemble has built a reputation for high-energy shows, polished musicianship, and a sound that seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary influences from the subcontinent — spanning Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and more.

Having performed across major stages and festivals in Sydney and Melbourne, Eastern Empire continues to captivate audiences at headline shows, corporate engagements and community events. Having also collaborated with a host of international acts, the band has been influential in popularising South Asian music across Australia's live music scene, and is now set to leave its mark on the world stage.

Our unique sound bridges traditional South Asian instruments and melodies with contemporary arrangements, creating a fusion that resonates with audiences across cultures. From intimate acoustic performances to high-energy festival sets, Eastern Empire adapts to every occasion while maintaining our distinctive musical identity.

We specialise in creating unforgettable experiences for weddings, corporate events, cultural celebrations, and music festivals. Our versatile ensemble can be configured from a 3-piece acoustic setup to a full 10+ member electric orchestra, ensuring we deliver the perfect atmosphere for your event.
